Job summary

Midwest Health Inc in Kansas is seeking a Domestic Aide to provide non-clinical services to nursing home residents. You will respond to call lights, deliver meals, assist with linens, and support infection control and safety procedures under supervision.

This temporary role requires completion of CNA certification within six months, good communication, basic computer skills, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Willingness to complete Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification within six months from starting.
• Ability to work beyond normal hours, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights promptly and courteously; notify appropriate staff.
• Pass trays in dining room and to residents.
• Pass drinking water and ice.
• Strip and remake beds as directed; maintain cleanliness of rooms.
• Report observations to supervisor; document nourishment intake as directed.
• Help orient new residents to the facility.
• Maintain organization and labeling of personal items.
• Clean equipment as directed; assist with transfer devices.
