Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Jericho, NY seeks a Resident Service Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide respectful, compassionate care to residents. You will assist with ADLs, escort residents to meals and activities, and support their wellbeing under supervision. Full-time schedule includes one weekend shift per week.

CNA/PCA/HHA certification and experience with dementia are preferred; strong English communication and a caring, patient demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification.
• Experience assisting residents with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Previous geriatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Follow policies and procedures and the Nurse Shift Supervisor's and Director of Wellness instructions.
