Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Massapequa, NY is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care for residents in a respectful and dignified manner. You will assist with ADLs, escort residents to meals and activities, and support residents’ physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being.

Full-time position with one weekend shift; English proficiency required; CNA/PCA/HHA certification and geriatric care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide
• Experience assisting residents with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
• Must speak and read English
• Experience with geriatric population and ADLs

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities
• Support residents’ physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being
• Help in Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing of residents
• Follow policies and procedures and adhere to instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness
