Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time licensed or certified medication aide to assist residents in an assisted living setting in Birmingham, Alabama. The role includes medication administration, daily living activities, and documenting MAR/EMAR records.

Qualifications

• Assists residents with medication administration and daily care as directed.
• Requires ability to verify medication and MAR alignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the resident with medication.
• Verify the resident can recognize the name, date and medication they are to take.
• Verify the resident has taken the medication.
• Provide care to residents including activities of daily living as needed.
• Notify supervisor of any change in condition or discrepancies.
• Compare physician order and MAR.
• Verify order matches MAR and medication pack.
• Document on MAR/EMAR.
• Assist with lifting, moving, and transporting residents.
• Check residents' personal care needs.
• Assist in preparing and serving meals as necessary and timely.
• Keep resident rooms and care areas clean and neat.
• Perform day-to-day housekeeping activities.
• Orient new residents to facility.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and assist in activities.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
