Job summary

Kalesta Healthcare Group seeks a Part-Time Dietary Aide to assist the Cook in meal preparation and service for residents. The role supports nutrition delivery, follows diet orders, and helps maintain a clean kitchen and dining area.

Responsibilities include tray setup, food and beverage preparation, and ensuring accuracy with diets and allergies while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• License: None required.
• Experience: Working in kitchen of communities or institutions that provide meals to large groups is preferred.
• Language: Must be able to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Set-up trays with proper dishes, glasses, cups and eating utensils for meals to be served, including assistive feeding devices as indicated on the tray card.
• Prepare hot and cold foods and beverages for residents’ meals following recipes and menus, for regular, modified and therapeutic diets.
• Serve food for meal delivery; read tray cards; check allergies, preferences, and instructions; ensure correct diet and portion control.
• Add condiments and ensure correct textures as ordered by the diet; recheck items on tray with tray card.
