Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently. You will provide personalized care, support daily living activities, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities include care plan implementation, medication administration assistance, behavioral support, and promoting community integration through activities and outings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle.
• Access to transportation travel locally.
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances required.
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB.
• Must successfully pass Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care to residents, developing and implementing care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, meals, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Implement behavioral support plans in collaboration with the team.
• Organize and participate in recreational activities, outings, and social events to promote community integration.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic care.
