Job summary

Methodist Retirement Communities in PineCrest, Lufkin, TX is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Assistant for a 6 am to 2 pm shift. You will provide care under licensed nursing supervision and help residents maintain independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of resident care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Assist with routine care needs while promoting dignity, comfort and independence.
• Help residents adjust to changes related to illness and aging.
• Build meaningful one-on-one relationships with residents.
• Encourage participation in activities and help residents maintain interests and independence.
• Lead and coordinate engaging activities and programs.
• Assist with developing and implementing individualized care plans.
• Bring patience, positivity and a genuine heart for serving older adults.
