Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Jericho, NY is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care for residents in a respectful and dignified manner. This role helps residents make the most of each day with attentive companionship and practical support.

You will assist with activities of daily living, escort residents to meals and activities, and support their physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being.

Qualifications

• Certification as CNA / PCA / HHA required.
• Experience with Alzheimer's/dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Experience with geriatric population preferred.
• Reliable, caring and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Helping out in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing.
• Following all policies and procedures, and the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness instructions.
