Job summary

Allied Services in Scranton, PA is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to assist residents with daily living activities under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. You will help with daily living tasks, recreation, dietary support, and light housekeeping in carefully selected situations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a PA Department of Aging–approved training program or relevant Nurse Aide experience, and minimum one year of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a PA Department of Aging–compliant training program or equivalent Nurse Aide experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year Nurse Aide experience.
• Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check.
• Must demonstrate competency in all skill areas included in the Personal Care Home directives or be willing to be trained.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Must maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care of residents by carrying out activities of daily living, recreational, dietary, and light housekeeping services.
• Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the needs of the individuals served.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and demonstrate mature, sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
