Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant course preferred.
• Experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Ability to provide patient care with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment on the unit.
• Obtain and document vital signs (temp, pulse, respirations, BP).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and mobility.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Properly don and doff PPE; follow infection control basics.
• Complete hourly rounds and report changes to the nurse.
• Answer patient call lights promptly and anticipate needs.
