Qualifications

• Compassion and a desire to serve; prior experience not required.
• Capable of meeting physical and emotional needs of residents.
• Direct‑Care certification or willingness to obtain; CPR/First Aid or willingness per policy.
• Confidentiality and respectful care; weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Make routine care rounds to meet resident needs per care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using proper body mechanics.
• Perform care to maintain skin integrity and manage incontinent residents.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report issues promptly to supervisors.
• Respond courteously to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff.
• Familiarize with individualized care plans and provide support.
• Share observations to contribute to care planning.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, peers, and supervisors.
• Provide physical, emotional, and psychosocial support.
• Adhere to residents' rights and report any abuse or rights violations.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures; maintain safe environment.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
