Job summary

Gemstone Senior Living Communities in Corsicana, TX is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to provide personal care and support residents while preserving independence. You will work in the Resident Services Department reporting to the Wellness Director, upholding our Residents First philosophy.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, housekeeping, dining, documenting reports, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with seniors while upholding privacy, dignity, independence.
• Ability to organize time with minimal supervision.
• Able to work well with others and function effectively as part of a team.
• Must be 18 years or older; High School diploma preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds; physical ability to perform required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including hygiene and mobility.
• Help with housekeeping, laundry, mail delivery, and use of telephone.
• Observe and report changes in Resident's condition to Wellness Director.
• Conduct rounds to monitor hazards or incidents and safety.
• Assist with dining setup, serving, and cleanup for meals.
• Complete shift-to-shift reports and maintain documentation.
