GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Radiation Therapist to operate specialized radiotherapy equipment, prepare treatment rooms, position patients, and monitor therapy sessions to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a 2-year radiation therapy training program, ARRT registration, Maryland license, and CPR certification. The incumbent will participate in quality assurance, chart rounds, and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualificações

• Thorough knowledge of equipment operations, radiation physics, radiobiology, anatomy and physiology, quality assurance and patient care technique.
• Registered in radiation therapy by ARRT, Maryland license, CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews treatment charts for prescription, monitor units, dose, and setup parameters.
• Delivers treatment per prescription and treatment plan with safe patient care.
• Maintains accurate documentation of treatment records and billing codes.
• Explains procedures to patient/family and refers questions to appropriate staff.
• Assists in quality assurance of the treatment machine under physician/manager guidance.
• Produces portal images and adjusts fields; completes daily treatment schedule; participates in rounds.
• Provides rotating on-call coverage for emergencies on weekends; may work outside regular hours.
