Job summary

Cascadia EE LLC is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work under a licensed Physical Therapist in a long-term care setting. The PTA will help residents regain movement, control pain, and follow prescribed plans involving stretching, strength training, and therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities include ambulation assistance, performing therapeutic procedures, documenting care, and promoting wellness. Requires state PTA licensure and CPR, with six months LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current state PTA licensure.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ambulation and mobility.
• Follow plans created by physical therapists to guide treatment.
• Assess patient health through interviews and examinations.
• Document patient care in records.
• Administer manual exercises and guide activities.
• Instruct and counsel patients on regimens and wellness.
• Provide continuity of care per the management plan.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and infection control.
• Monitor treatment trends to meet production objectives.
• Ensure punctuality and regular attendance.
