Qualifications

• Active state license or certification as a PTA.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical agents such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound; assist residents with devices.
• Observe residents before, during, and after therapy; report status changes or adverse reactions to the supervising PT.
• Complete timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and billing records, in compliance with federal and state regulations (CMS).
• Instruct residents, families, and facility staff on prescribed exercises, safety techniques, and discharge plans.
• Maintain established productivity and efficiency standards set by the administration.
