Riverside Health in Hampton, Virginia seeks a Behavioral Health Aide to support patients across age groups with psychiatric and chemical dependency care. Under supervision of the Charge RN, Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Director, you will assist with daily living activities and collaborate on care plans.

You will perform intake screenings, monitor vital signs, and lead therapeutic activities while ensuring safety and compassionate care.

Competenze

• 1 year Behavioral health experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS Certification required within 30 days.
• First Aid Certification required within 30 days.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Mansioni

• Assesses and treats patients seeking psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment.
• Communicates patient and family needs to physicians clearly and completely.
• Familiarizes self with the care plan and contributes insights for improvement.
• Collaborates with referral sources, patients, families, and team members on care coordination.
• Provides follow-up actions as needed.
• Acts as initial contact for patients, families, and referral sources seeking intervention.
• Completes intake screening reports reflecting patient status and age-specific needs.
• Performs vital signs checks and basic cognitive assessments.
• Leads patients in therapeutic and recreational activities.
• Monitors wellbeing and reports concerns to medical staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living as needed.
