Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Associate to support patient care under supervision of RN/Manager. The role covers age-appropriate assessments, care planning, and maintaining safety within the unit.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and 1 year of behavioral health experience. CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications are required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses and treats patients across age groups seeking psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment.
• Collaborates with referral sources, patients, families, and team members for care coordination.
• Acts as initial contact for patients and families, performs intake screening, and documents status.
• Leads patients in therapeutic and recreational activities.
• Monitors wellbeing and reports unusual findings to medical staff.
• Observes patient safety per RN/LPN guidance and supports sitters as needed.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
