Job summary

River Oaks Hospital, affiliated with Universal Health Services, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Tech to join our clinical team. The role supports a safe, therapeutic environment and performs patient care duties focused on health and safety.

Shifts available: days 7am-7pm and nights 7pm-7am, rotating weekends. Temporary assignment is 8 weeks with possible extension; holiday coverage may be required depending on shift.

Qualifications

• Education - High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• Must have at least 1 year experience with patients in a behavioral health setting; experience with adolescents or children preferred.
• CPR certification required; RBT certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental and physical health and document findings in medical records.
• Monitor patients during 15-minute checks.
• Perform vital signs and ensure patient location tracking.
• Manage groups during outdoor activities and meals.
• Assist in managing behavior and safety per facility guidelines.
