Job summary

Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc is looking for a dedicated care assistant to provide direct supervision and assistance to program participants. You will help with daily activities, personal care, and mobility, while monitoring health indicators as needed.

Requires a California CNA/HHA/MA certificate or 1 year of relevant experience, plus CPR/First Aid. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support therapeutic activities and ensure participant safety.

Qualifications

• Current California certificate as a CNA, HHA or MA, or one year recent experience with disabled adults.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise participants and perform all job functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide continued care and supervision of participants including toileting, personal care, feeding, transfers and ambulation training.
• Assist participants to/from transportation vehicles on arrival and departure.
• Maintain weights and blood pressures if certified.
• Assist with planning, setup and implementation of individualized activity plans.
• Maintain program area and perform other duties as assigned.
