Job summary

Golden Years In-Home Senior Care in Sacramento, CA is seeking an HCA Caregiver dedicated to compassionate, in‑home support for seniors. You will provide personal care, light housekeeping, and engaging activities while documenting client progress for supervisors.

Requirements include current HCA registration with the California DSS, a recent TB test, background check clearance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and reliable, compassionate communication with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Home Care Aide (HCA) registered with the California Department of Social Services.
• TB test completed within the last 24 months.
• Able to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and with compassion.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.
• Ability to assist with transfers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to senior clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility support.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties such as laundry, meal prep, and safe living environment.
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote emotional well‑being.
• Monitor and document client progress, changes in condition, and report to supervisors as necessary.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility aids as needed.
• Offer companionship and ensure a positive, safe, and caring environment for each client.
