Job summary

Vi Living in Columbia, MD is seeking a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (PRN on-call) to support licensed nursing staff with daily living activities and basic care. The role requires it to be aligned with state nursing assistant standards and an on-call schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, documenting care, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in resident rooms, with a competitive hourly rate and benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
• Registration with State registry required.
• Ability to document care given.
• Wears appropriate non-slip footwear.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, collects specimens as instructed.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Enter data daily into ADL book or inputs EMR Documentation into Vision.
• Performs full body inspection weekly and notifies Charge Nurse of any altered skin status.
• Assures that resident is adequately hydrated to maintain health status.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
