Job summary

Upperline Health Plus is seeking a Primary Care Medical Assistant who delivers patient-centered, value-based care in a busy clinic in Bowling Green, KY. The MA screens patients, records vitals, takes medical history, coordinates care, and supports the care team for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certified MA or minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical primary care setting.
• Certified MA or phlebotomy certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, pharmacology, dosing and side effects.
• Ability to interpret provider documentation, orders and treatment plans.
• Experience with EMR systems (AthenaHealth) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical history and chief complaints.
• Assist NP with health assessments and clinic visits.
• Coordinate care and outreach to improve patient outcomes.
• Document clinical information in the EHR accurately.
• Perform medication reconciliation and manage prescription requests.
• Support care coordination and referrals.
