Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a licensed physician (MD or DO) with residency and/or fellowship in the relevant specialty. The role includes history and physical examinations, developing treatment plans, ordering tests, and coordinating care with other providers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with residency and/or fellowship in the area of specialty.
• Board certified or eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.
• Licensed physician by the state medical licensure board.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examinations of all patients seen.
• Provides cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced-based medicine.
• Adheres to standardized orders and clinical guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Communicates with referring physicians, patients and families about care plans.
• Participates in patient and family education.
• Evaluates and manages patient care, initiates treatment via prescriptions and diagnostic testing, and reviews lab results.
• Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to other professionals as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with safety policies.
