Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a physician to provide medical services in general care and treatment for patients in both practice and hospital settings.

The physician will offer high-quality, cost-effective medical care and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting histories and physicals, following evidence-based guidelines, coordinating patient care, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in the area of specialty.
• MD or DO licensed by the state licensure board; board certified/eligible in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidence-based medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Demonstrates competency in assessment, treatment, growth and development appropriate to patient age.
• Communicates with referring physicians, patients and families; educates patients and families.
• Coordinates patient care and makes referrals as needed.
• Teaches wellness habits and prevention of health problems to patients.

Education
