Job summary

Nooksack Indian Tribe is seeking a licensed physician to deliver medical services in an outpatient clinic, providing compassionate care to patients and supporting families within the Tribal community. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a balanced caseload, typically up to 12 patient visits per day, while upholding high standards of care, documentation, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current and unrestricted Washington medical license.
• Pass alcohol/drug test at hire and periodically.
• Pass extensive criminal background check.
• 3–5 years experience as a physician in outpatient setting.
• Commitment to continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine within license, training, and credentialing.
• Provide outpatient patient assessment and care planning.
• Educate patients on prevention and wellness.
• Coordinate hospital admissions when needed.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and records.
• Communicate with care team to ensure high-quality care.
• Uphold HIPAA and federal policy requirements.
