Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide physical therapy services under supervision to patients across the age continuum.

The PTA collaborates with the licensed physical therapist to develop and implement a rehabilitative plan, educate patients and families, and coordinate with other clinical teams. Requires NY licensure eligibility and strong communication skills; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Physical Therapy Assistant Program approved by the APTA.
• Currently certified or eligible for New York State certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
• BLS for Health Care Providers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision to patients across ages.
• Assists the supervising PT to develop and implement rehabilitative plans.
• Educates patients, families, staff and community members.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines and participates in quality initiatives.
