Job summary

Avir at Del Sol, located in El Paso, TX, is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join our skilled nursing/rehabilitation team. The PT will focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, independence, and overall quality of life for residents.

The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-centered, and dedicated to delivering individualized care in a rehabilitation setting. Full‑time and per diem opportunities are available, with schedule to be discussed in the interview.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain as required.
• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with older adults and individuals with mobility needs.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing/rehabilitation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions based on residents’ needs and goals.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, gait, balance, mobility interventions.
• Monitor resident progress and modify plans as appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding therapy programs.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, occupational, and speech therapists and other care team members.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in care planning and communicate changes in resident condition.
• Promote resident safety and independence throughout rehabilitation.
• Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable regulations.
