Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy training or experience.
• Three (3) month training in phlebotomy or equivalent experience.
• In lieu of education/experience, prior phlebotomy training or relevant experience qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients following established procedures.
• Verify patient identity and properly label specimens.
• Input data into hospital systems accurately and promptly.
• Perform Point of Care testing if assigned and adhere to QC protocols.
• Maintain PPE usage and safety procedures; ensure specimen safety.
