Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy knowledge with proper collection techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient data entry and basic computer use.
• Experience with office equipment and fax/copier is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients using proper technique and labeling.
• Input collection data into hospital systems and track workload.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE; maintain patient safety.
• Prepare specimens for testing and transport maintaining temperature.
• Restock supplies and maintain clean work area.
• Communicate with patients and staff, document requests.
• Perform clerical duties including consent capture and reports.
• Perform POC testing if assigned.
• Instruct new staff and document training.
• Complete competencies and CE training on schedule.
