The role supports efficient lab operations and patient-centered care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate has phlebotomy training, BLS certification, and strong teamwork skills, with experience in diverse age groups and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Level 3: Completion of accredited phlebotomy program.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic records.
• Strong phlebotomy skills across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform pre-analytical processing.
• Label, file, and chart specimens and results accurately.
• Use EMR/LIS for ordering, admitting, and reporting results.
• Maintain inventory and organize phlebotomy areas; ensure safety compliance.
• Respond to STAT draws and support lab operations during downtime.
