Job summary

Labcorp in Aurora, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections and data entry while ensuring quality patient care. The role includes travel to additional sites, strict adherence to safety standards, and patient-focused service.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and may need 3+ months of phlebotomy experience. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
