Job summary

Interpath Laboratory, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist/Processor in Washington state to join our clinical team. You will perform venipuncture, prepare specimens for testing, manage data accurately, and ensure specimen integrity while supporting patient care.

The position requires a high school diploma and WA MA-P phlebotomy certification. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred, and flexibility with site coverage is important for maintaining smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Washington MA-P phlebotomy certification is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring instrumentation alarms.
• Perform venipuncture for blood collection and obtain additional specimen types as required.
• Prepare all samples for lab testing and screening with proper labeling and handling.
• Receive, process, and package samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Follow safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participate in quality assurance.
• Cover work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain consistent, punctual attendance to support team and patient needs.
