Job summary

Tennessee Cancer Specialists is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect patient samples and support laboratory workflows in our Knoxville area clinics. You will partner with lab staff and clinicians to ensure specimens are properly collected, labeled, and communicated throughout the care team.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and comfort working with patients in a clinical setting. Experience with EMR systems and lab software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy work requiring safe sample collection and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with patients, staff and labs.
• Experience with EMR and lab systems to integrate workflow.
• Physical ability for extended standing/sitting and handling specimens.
• High school diploma required; phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients as ordered and ensure proper labeling.
• Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers throughout the process.
• Navigate EMR and lab management systems to support workflows.
• Maintain inventory and follow OSHA and universal precautions.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed.
