Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy course completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commit to mission, values and policies.
• Maintain competency in phlebotomy procedures and policies.
• Perform blood collection from adult inpatients using venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Assist with pediatric/infant collections under supervision.
• Complete safety training and follow protocols.
• Enter patient data accurately in the system.
• Provide compassionate patient care and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform limited point-of-care testing as needed.
• Participate in meetings and department projects.
