Job summary

Bryan Health is seeking a phlebotomy specialist to support clinical laboratory operations. You will collect blood samples from adults, children, and infants, process specimens, and perform waived testing under supervision.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and accurate data entry in our fast-paced environment. Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of a phlebotomy program (preferred), and BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic or advanced phlebotomy program preferred.
• Experience in performing various phlebotomy procedures preferred.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• If assigned to drive Bryan-owned vehicles, valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing tasks in a clinical laboratory.
• Accurately perform computer entry of patient demographics and testing data.
• Handle specimen receiving and preparation for in-house and reference testing, including centrifugation.
• Maintain department equipment and inventory; ensure supplies are stocked and organized.
• Contribute to department proficiency testing and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Provide compassionate patient care and adhere to customer service standards.
• Participate in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
