Job summary

ChenMed in Plantation, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations, assist with prescriptions, and deliver compassionate patient care.

You will work under the Pharmacist, ensure accurate data entry, maintain inventory, process third-party claims, assist patients, and comply with HIPAA and regulatory requirements while providing outstanding service to patients and families, and coordinating with providers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; education may substitute year-for-year.
• Board of Pharmacy technician registration and current licensure.
• Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Strong math and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and respond to questions, referring complex inquiries to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and order stock as needed.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems with accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions, count and verify medications, and check for interactions.
• Report prescription errors to Pharmacist and follow quality procedures.
• Support compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and co-pay requirements.
