Job summary

ChenMed, a physician-led primary care provider, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, process prescriptions, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will interact with patients, verify drug information, and support inventory management. This role requires one year of pharmacy experience, a registered Pharmacy Technician, and strong English communication.

Candidates should be able to work evenings and weekends and may travel nationwide for training. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; education can be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Active Board of Pharmacy technician registration and current licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting, including data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Greet patients, answer questions, refer complex issues to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory, check stock, place and verify orders.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately in pharmacy systems.
• Process prescriptions, verify accuracy, and check for interactions.
• Report prescription errors to Pharmacist and follow quality procedures.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Medicare, and co-pay rules.
• Engage patients to ensure a positive experience.
• Direct and assist team members to meet deadlines.
• Process third-party claims efficiently for payment.
