Job summary

myPlace Health is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (CNA or Caregiver) at our Compton, CA location to support frail and high-risk older adults. You will provide personal care, accompany participants to appointments, and assist with daily activities in a respectful, compassionate manner.

This onsite role emphasizes teamwork with the IDT, safety, and quality of life for participants. CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtained within 60 days; bilingual skills are a plus and transportation

Qualifications

Experience as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with frail/elderly individuals.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 60 days of starting.
Flexibility to provide care in participants’ homes when needed.
Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a diverse community.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care: bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, meals, and companionship.
Assist participants with transportation to appointments and outings.
Support mealtimes and dining experience with patience and respect.
Provide safe, gentle physical assistance to keep participants comfortable.
Monitor participant health and vital signs as directed by the care team.
Keep supplies stocked and organized (incontinence items, grooming tools).
Follow care plan directions from the interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with families.
