Job summary

myPlace Health in Compton, CA, seeks compassionate Personal Care Attendants to support frail older adults in daily activities, transportation, and in-home care. You will work with families and the IDT to keep participants safe, comfortable, and engaged in activities.

CPR and First Aid certification are preferred or will be completed within 60 days; CNA/PCA experience is valued. A valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or willing to complete within 60 days of starting.
• First Aid certification required or willing to complete within 60 days of starting.
• Bilingual abilities are a big plus given diverse community.
• A valid California driver’s license with reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, meals) in center, clinic, or participant homes.
• Assist participants with getting in and out of transportation and accompany them to appointments.
• Support mealtimes and help with eating as needed with patience and respect.
• Provide gentle physical assistance to keep participants safe and comfortable.
• Assist with meal delivery and contribute to a welcoming dining experience.
• Monitor participant health signs and report changes to the care team.
• Keep supplies stocked and organized (incontinence items, grooming tools).
• Follow guidance from the interdisciplinary team and communicate warmly with participants and families.
• Be flexible and willing to help wherever needed to ensure high-quality care.
• Support the team’s mission and be curious about how AI can transform service delivery.
