Job summary

myPlace Health is hiring a compassionate Personal Care Attendant to support older adults in Compton, CA. You will assist with daily activities, accompany participants to appointments, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment in collaboration with our interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• Heart for service and care for older adults.
• Experience as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• CNA or Home Health Aide certification preferred but not required.
• Flexible to provide care in participants' homes when needed.
• Bilingual ability is a plus; helps serve diverse community.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, meals and routine tasks.
• Assist participants in/ out of transportation vehicles and accompany them to appointments as needed.
• Support mealtimes and help with eating with patience and respect.
• Provide gentle physical assistance to ensure safety and comfort throughout the day.
• Assist with meal delivery and contribute to a welcoming dining experience.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the care team.
• Keep supplies stocked and organized, including incontinence items and grooming tools.
• Follow directions from the interdisciplinary care team and maintain clear communication with participants and families.
• Be a flexible team player ready to help wherever needed to deliver quality care.
