Qualifications

• Must have basic communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral instructions.
• On-the-job training available; health care experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• May assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring.
• Provides residents with tub baths and obtains weight for nurse; uses equipment like Sit/Stand Lift or Full Body Lift as needed.
• Makes resident beds, changes linens, and keeps rooms safe; handles resident laundry and linen.
• Answers call lights promptly and assists new residents with move-in logistics, schedules, and belongings.
• Maintains clean work rooms and logs resident data; stores equipment properly.
• Attends in-service training and meetings; performs other tasks within scope of practice.
• Maintains infection control and standard precautions at all times.
