Maxim Healthcare in Modesto, CA is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily activities, mobility, and basic health-related tasks. This role involves assisting with transfers, personal care, and companionship to promote independence.

The position requires current BLS, relevant state certifications as needed, and strong communication. A driver’s license and vehicle insurance are often needed to coordinate services across home, school, and community resources.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state and/or program.
• One year relevant experience preferred.
• Current BLS Card.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Coordination between home, school, local health agency, and community resources.
• Strong communication skills; English language proficiency may be required.
• Computer proficiency.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Vehicle Insurance.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and related support.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Performs incidental household services integral to a personal care plan.
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client.
• Assists with self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines and personal hygiene.
• Reports changes in client status as directed by care plan.
• Assist with transportation.
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary.
