Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Personal Care Assistant in California to provide support services for clients' personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs. Hourly pay is $23/hr with a range of benefits and opportunities within a trusted home healthcare provider.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, health tasks, transfers, and companionship, while reporting changes per the care plan.

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification as required by state/program
• 1 year relevant experience preferred
• Current BLS Card
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities
• Provides health care tasks and personal hygiene services as part of the care plan
• Assists with transfers and ambulation
• Performs incidental household services integral to a care plan
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client
• Assists with self-care activities such as toileting and dressing
• Reports changes in client status as directed by the care plan
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
