Job summary

The Landings of Lake Gaston is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and provide compassionate care in a safe, homelike environment.

As a PCA you will assist with ADLs, monitor health, encourage participation in community activities, and work closely with nursing staff to maintain residents’ dignity and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• State-approved PCA/CNA training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and meaningful interactions.
• Ensure living areas are clean, safe, and compliant with infection control protocols.
