Job summary

Personal-Touch Home Care & Hospice seeks qualified Personal Care Aides for its Virginia Beach service location. The role involves comprehensive in-home care, including personal care, light housekeeping, mobility assistance and simple therapeutic tasks under supervision, with a day shift and PRN schedule.

Requirements include a PCA certification or CNA license, English proficiency, empathy and reliable transportation. Starting pay is $13.50–$17.50 per hour and CNA/PCA licensure are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved home health aide program or CNA license.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Empathy for ill and frail individuals.
• Ability to communicate patient condition clearly.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene and toileting.
• Assist with feeding and maintaining patient’s living area.
• Help with mobility and transfers bed<->chair<->wheelchair.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry for patient.
• Record daily patient care activities and report to nurse.
• Participate in case conferences and adhere to procedures.
