Job summary

Supportive Connections LLC in Rocklin, CA is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant Direct Support Staff member to provide hands-on care for individuals with disabilities or special needs. You will support daily living activities, mobility, grooming, and transportation while promoting independence and dignity.

Ideal candidates have experience in direct support or caregiving, possess strong communication and documentation skills, and are willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related human services field preferred.
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements.
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on personal care and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Support clients with daily living activities including grooming, meal preparation, and mobility
• Assist with community integration, transportation, and social engagement activities
• Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
• Promote client independence, dignity, and overall well-being at all times
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or medical situations as needed
