Job summary

Supportive Connections LLC is hiring Personal Assistant Direct Support Staff to provide compassionate, one-on-one personal assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and community settings. You will assist with activities of daily living, personal care, and community participation, while promoting independence and safety.

Role emphasizes dignity, rights, and individualized support per IPP/service plans; strong communication and documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.
• Must successfully complete DOJ/FBI background checks.
• Must possess or obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must communicate effectively in English; Spanish a plus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with insurance.
• Must use a smartphone or EVV for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one personal assistance in clients' homes and communities.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care as needed.
• Support household tasks and safe living environments.
• Assist with transportation, appointments, and community participation.
• Provide supervision, prompting, and hands-on assistance as required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and informed choice.
• Document daily services and EVV records accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Communicate with clients, families, and support teams.
