Job summary

DCH Health System seeks a patient care assistant to provide compassionate support under the supervision of registered nurses. You will assist with daily activities, monitor basic vitals, position patients, and help maintain a safe, clean nursing unit.

Ideal candidates have prior patient care or clerical experience and are able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. BLS certification is preferred and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified in giving patient care or completion of in-service education.
• Clerical experience or completion of in-service education required.
• High school education or equivalent required. BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support perPlan of Treatment under RN supervision.
• Document care provided and maintain patient environment.
• Assist with monitoring, vital signs, feeding, and specimen transport.
• Support unit functions and adhere to safety and infection control policies.
