Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to provide compassionate personal care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor intake and output, measure vital signs, and support pre-operative and post-operative care across two facilities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, and BLS certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; read/write English.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of employment.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation to support assignment between two facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care under RN supervision per plan of treatment.
• Measure and record intake/output, vital signs, O2 saturation, weight and height.
• Assist in ambulation, transfers, positioning, and activities of daily living.
• Collect, label, and transport lab specimens.
• Document care per policies and ensure safety and cleanliness.
