Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a part-time supportive care team member in the Neurology & Neuroscience division. The role involves assisting with plan of care under RN supervision, supporting patients with activities of daily living, and helping maintain a safe clinical environment.

Responsibilities include patient transport assistance, a focus on communication and documentation, and contributing to a cooperative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of medical/surgical or equivalent clinical rotation from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution.
• Listed on Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA (reciprocity within 180 days).
• Listed on Ohio or National Emergency Medical Services Registry.
• 1+ years of patient care experience within the last three years.
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - provide approved care of assigned patients under RN supervision and assist with interventions.
• Communication - document patient condition and communicate with care team; follow shift handoffs.
• Environment - maintain a safe, organized clinical area and comply with infection control policies.
• Administrative Support - respond to alarms, answer calls, assemble charts, and assist with training of new staff.
